About Us

Our Structure

The Reuse Center

A project of the 501(c)(3) Boston Building Materials Co-op Charitable and Educational Fund (“the Fund”), our Reuse Center takes in donations of good-quality used and surplus building materials and sells them at steeply discounted prices.

Deconstruction

Our deconstruction crew carefully dismantles buildings by hand, recovering good-quality materials that would otherwise be lost to demolition and giving them new life through our Reuse Center.

Education

Our educational workshops teach practical, hands-on home-improvement skills at affordable prices, helping homeowners and renters take on everyday repairs and projects themselves.

Meet Our Team

Whether you are shopping for new items or reused materials, our knowledgeable and helpful staff will provide straightforward and unbiased advice.

Volunteer at the
Reuse Center

Volunteers can expect a fun and dynamic environment. You’ll be joining a diverse and creative team of varied ages and backgrounds—from college students to seasoned building professionals! You can expect opportunities for creative thinking, problem solving, and collaborative projects.

Financial Gifts

The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources is a project of the Boston Building Materials Co-op Charitable and Educational Fund, a charitable nonprofit organization. Because materials are priced low to remain affordable, income from sales does not cover all our operating costs. Your contribution helps the Reuse Center to continue its role as a community resource.
