Why does a store need to raise money?
While we receive our materials for free, the process of bringing them to our customers is not. The items we sell are heavy, bulky, and difficult to store and move, as our hardworking staff well know. Many items need cleaning or repackaging to be ready for sale. Staffing, insurance, and vehicle expenses are real costs that we need to cover to operate and grow our mission. We value workplace equity and are committed to paying a living wage and offering a competitive benefits package to our employees.
