Find great bargains on used and overstock home improvement materials

The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources is a source of some great bargains and an ever-changing treasure trove of materials. Full cabinet sets, appliances, windows, doors, sinks, flooring . . . you’ll find gently used and new items to help you improve your home affordably. All of our materials have been donated, and most are one of a kind.

Anyone can shop at the Reuse Center. Additional discounts are given to Plus members: people who meet our income guidelines as well as other nonprofit organizations. Co-op members and the public will pay slightly higher prices, but the extra income helps the nonprofit to be self-sustaining as it carries out its mission.

Many customers find it helpful to keep these things in mind:

  • Have your measurements in advance. If you see something you like, you will know for sure whether or not it fits.

  • Stop by often. If you live or work in the neighborhood, make a quick visit to see any new arrivals.

  • Be flexible. Consider a different color or style so you will have more choices.

We also offer workshops where you can learn how to do some projects yourself.

Third-party services for help with delivery

The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources does not offer delivery, but several options are available from third-party services. BBR does not warranty the work of these third-party services and does not provide mediation services in the event of a dispute between a member and service provider.

The Reuse Center at Boston Building Resources is a project of the Boston Building Materials Co-op Charitable and Educational Fund, a charitable nonprofit organization. We help people maintain and improve their homes while keeping reusable materials out of landfills. Your purchases help support both of these goals.
